Bill Murphy
Principal – Business Services, Taxation and Financial Planning B. Comm. F.C.A. Financial Planning SpecialistBill Murphy completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW in 1973. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a registered tax agent and a company auditor. Bill provides more than just traditional accounting services; he would like his clients to receive a total financial solution. With many years’ experience across a broad range of businesses and audits, Bill is very ably supported by a number of enthusiastic accountants and staff. Bill is a past President and Secretary of the Central West Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He was President of Cowra Rotary in 2019 and is now secretary of Cowra Rotary. He spends his spare time in the garden, reading or with grandchildren. Bill was awarded an OAM in 2022 for service to the community of Cowra and was a nominee for Cowra Citizen of the year in 2020.
David Symons
ManagerDave has been with SWM since 2011. He has completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) with Charles Sturt University and is a Chartered Accountant through Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. David’s areas of expertise within the firm are very broad, including individual tax returns, GST reporting and Business Financial Statements and Tax Returns; his main areas of work are completing end of year reporting for Self-Managed Super Funds and Business advice for you to succeed. Dave has many interests outside of work with various community involvements, these include various sports, family time, camping and travelling around Australia.
Richmond Bush
AccountantRichmond has been with SWM Chartered Accountants since 2017, and is an Accountant having completed his Bachelor of Accounting at CSU alongside his training with SWM. He is currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accountancy. Richmond’s main areas involve individual tax returns, financial statements, as well as involvement in Audit work for registered clubs, companies, and non for profit associations. Out of the office, Richmond’s interests involve reading and cooking.
Hayden Cassidy
AccountantHayden has been with SWM Chartered Accountants since 2019. During this time Hayden has completed a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance through Charles Sturt University and is currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant. With experience beyond his years, Hayden has proven that he is dedicated to developing his knowledge and skills as an accountant for providing the best possible service to his clients. Hayden’s main areas of focus within the firm include preparation of year-end business financial statements, BAS reporting and individual tax returns. Away from work, Hayden’s interests include just about anything sport related and spending quality time with family and friends.
Silvia Foley
BookkeeperSilvia has been with SWM Chartered Accountants since 2018. Her role covers administration, bookkeeping and numerous other tasks especially assisting with clients ever changing compliance. Silvia’s abilities to adapt to constantly-changing situations as well as her passion for being pedantic means she is terrific at the position she holds.Silvia’s favourite characteristics of her job is the diverse nature and the people she works with. She takes great pride in the practice itself and is determined each day to do the job to best of her abilities. Time away from the office, Silvia devotes her time to her family and her community groups such as Mulyan P&C and Cowra Amateur Swimming Club.
Nicholas Fisher
Trainee AccountantNic is a Trainee Accountant with SWM Chartered Accountants and currently completing his Bachelor of Accounting through CSU via their distance program and gaining valuable experience in various areas of accounting. Nic completes such tasks as bookkeeping, taxation and much more through his traineeship. He recently completed his HSC at Cowra High School. Outside of work Nic’s hobbies and interests include sports, music and reading.
Koren Colby
AdministrationKoren works in administration on a part-time basis alongside Jordyn, having joined the team in early 2025. At the front desk, Koren & Jordyn are the first point of contact for our valued clients. Coming from a sales background Koren has great customer services skills and is always up for a chat with anyone. Outside of office hours, Koren enjoys spending time with her husband Ben and their three children.
Jordyn Dawes
AdministrationJordyn joined the administration team at SWM Chartered Accountants in March 2025, working part-time alongside Koren – the dynamic duo! With over 10 years of experience in administration and customer service, Jordyn has developed a strong reputation for providing exceptional customer service, managing fast-paced office operations and creating a welcoming, efficient and organised environment for both clients and staff. Jordyn is highly skilled in handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling and calendar management, document processing and coordinating with different departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Jordyn takes pride in her ability to prioritise tasks effectively and maintain a positive and professional demeanour in every interaction. When Jordyn’s not in the office, Jordyn is at home with her husband, their two lively redheaded kids, and their matching redheaded pup. She’s an avid stress-baker who loves spoiling the SWM team with homemade goodies.
Allie Woods
Trainee AccountantAllie is a Trainee Accountant at SWM Chartered Accountants. She joined the firm in early 2024 and is currently building experience across individual and small-business taxation, compliance, and client support. Allie is also completing her Bachelor of Accounting through CSU. During her own time she enjoys good coffee, playing a variety of sports such as volleyball, hockey, and soccer, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
